Richmond Park Church: A Summary
Richmond Park Church is in Palmerston Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth, on the corner with St Clements Road. It is opposite the footbridge from South Road / Grove Road across the railway line. It is a ten minute walk from the McDonalds end of the pedestrian area.
What is your Sunday Service like?
Morning Worship starts at 10.30am and there are three groups for under-16s: Little Fish (0 to 5), JAM (Jesus and Me, for ages 6 to 11), and YPF (Young People's Fellowship, for 12 to 16s).
At Richmond Park Church we sing our praise songs (modern hymns) along to the music of a guitar, keyboard, trombone, and drums. We have chairs set in rows and a PowerPoint-type projector puts the words of our songs up on a big screen. Sometimes some of the ladies dance to the songs, using expressive hand movements, or waving flags, or there is a drama sketch or puppets included in the service. Then someone from the leadership team, or sometimes a guest speaker from another church, will spend 30 minutes teaching us about what the Bible says and how that applies to our lives today. We have two BSL (British Sign Language for the deaf) signers in our church who interpret for our deaf members. On the third Sunday of every month the service includes taking Communion.
What else happens at Richmond Park Church?

Tuesday: 9.30-11.30am 'Step By Step' Parent & Toddlers Group, term time only
8pm Care Groups, meet in different homes, phone for venue

Richmond Park Church does not belong to any denomination but is described as an "evangelical pentecostal" church, which basically means we put emphasis on telling people about the good news of how we can be put right with God through Jesus, and the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christians to help us do this and in other ways demonstrate God's concern and interest in the everyday lives of people.
Wheelchair Access: Richmond Park Church is accessible by wheelchair, including the back rooms where Little Fish and JAM are held, but there are no disabled toilet facilities other than a support rail in one of the usual size cubicles. Young People's Fellowship currently meet in an upstairs room. Please let us know if you are coming to the Prayer Meeting so we can open the front door.
